Director’s Welcome
Dear Patrons and Lovers of the Arts,
I would like to invite you to join us for a new spring semester of classes in the WVU Community Arts Program. Our class schedule includes many of our most popular classes and as always, several new classes to explore. In this economic climate where there is less money to spend on dining out, taking vacations, and purchasing the latest electronic gadgets, many people are looking for more economically sound activities. The arts not only provide an economical alternative, but also an enjoyable and educational experience. This is a great time for you and the kids to explore your creative abilities in the arts, spark your imaginations, develop new social and motor skills, and enjoy many more benefits the arts provide.
We have classes for all ages and we hope you will find some that interest you and meet your needs. Learn new skills and enjoy the camaraderie of others in a fun and educational setting. Make a basket, learn to play the piano, have fun learning the art of belly dancing, brush up on your painting skills, or try your hand at acting! The possibilities are endless! Remember, big screen TVs and blackberries are short-lived and wear out over time. The benefits of the arts are timeless! Don’t just imagine it…do it!
Best wishes,
Jeanne Frieben, Director
WVU Community Arts Program
